Hello!

My name is Marie, and welcome to my Latch hook rugs website, Riv's Rugs

All my latch hook rugs are hand made by myself using a humble latch hook.

All my Latch hook rugs are made on proper latch hook rug canvas and the wool I use is of a high quality anchor rug wool, which I buy in hanks rather than pre-cut packs that you can buy. The hanks I purchase, I cut into individual strands. I cut my wool as it keeps the cost down. Also, through my experience I have found pre-cut is not of a high quality which I demand for my rugs.

This wonderful craft that I do just started off as a hobby nearly 2 years ago in desperation to get me away from the dratted computer! But it soon became a passion of mine. I have only just started selling my rugs, as I have been nagged by my family to sell them. They believe in my rugs, and my skill in making them. Also from the comments I have received from people who have seen my work.

I gave in, so here I am.

I have a special programme on my pc, which converts pictures into rug designs, from which I print out the key chart, and template. So guess what? I'm back on the dratted computer again!!
